The Aurora Group is a group of affiliated companies with sales offices strategically located along the east coast. All affiliates share central administration including computer systems, accounting, insurance and management. This enables the separate sales offices to devote virtually all of their time to sales and marketing functions. Each territory represents their own set of manufacturers.

Each affiliate is a separately owned and operated company covering separate and exclusive territories.

Aurora Marketing, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Rick Vairo. In 1989 Aurora Marketing, Inc. combined resources with Schmitt Industrial Marketing Corporation. Our company has been steadily expanding ever since.

The Schmitt Industrial Marketing Corporation organization evolved from F. Edwin Schmitt Company, a well known and respected manufacturer's representative founded in 1926.

The merger of these two companies afforded us greater visibility at our major accounts, and increased our base of OEMs and Distributors.

In 1990 Aurora-Schmitt Associates commenced representation in Florida. In 1992 we incorporated a separate Florida company, Aurora-Schmitt Associates, Inc. John Schrey is our Vice President of Sales for Florida.

In 1996 Rick Vairo and Jim Cowey (formerly of Franklin Sales) formed Aurora-Franklin Marketing located in Upstate New York.

In 1998 DHR Marketing, Inc. joined The Aurora Group. This expanded our territory to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

In 1998 Larry Pimenta joined Aurora Marketing, Inc. Larry is VP Sales in Metro NY/NJ.

In 2003 Aurora Marketing commenced representation in the Mid-Atlantic / Chesapeake territory.

In 2008 Aurora Marketing, Inc and Cover 2 Sales, Inc. combined resources and formed Aurora Cover 2 Sales LLC to provide enhanced sales coverage of the Mid Atlantic territory.
